FAQ
The Most Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some common questions, organized by topic.
About Your Visit
What should I expect during my first appointment?
I will review your health history with you and may ask for more detail about some topics.
You’ll remain fully clothed, so wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. I use a blend of gentle, precise pressure and advanced techniques to locate and release trigger points, restore muscle function, and help your nervous system reset.
We will be in constant communication as I investigate and test based on your feedback, working out a plan for the best techniques to resolve the issue.
Many clients are surprised at how gentle yet effective this work can be.
What should I wear to my appointment?
You’ll remain fully clothed, so wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes. A T-shirt and soft pants work great. In the summer, shorts are fine.
How long does a typical session last?
A session lasts about 60 minutes. It is important to arrive on time, at the top of the hour, so there is some time to chat before moving into the exam room.
Do you offer a free consultation?

Your Health & Conditions
What conditions do you specialize in treating?
I specialize in Neck Pain, Digestive Disorders , and Nerve Pain.
How are your services different from other types of bodywork or physical therapy?
I go beyond symptoms to address the root cause of your pain. My therapies are gentle and non-invasive, working to restore your body as a whole. I take a comprehensive and collaborative approach, combining hands-on care with functional nutrition. Your feedback is crucial to our shared journey toward your lasting wellness.
Will I be able to feel a difference after just one session?
Many clients do report a sense of relief and increased comfort after their very first session. The gentle, non-invasive nature of these therapies can immediately help to calm the nervous system and release tension. However, some cases are a much harder puzzle to solve.
How many sessions will I need to see results?
It’s common to feel initial improvements after just one or two sessions, as these gentle therapies help your body and nervous system begin to relax. However, my focus is on providing lasting results by addressing the root cause of your discomfort, not just the symptoms. For chronic or more complex issues, a series of sessions is often recommended. We’ll work closely with you for personalized treatment to help you achieve long-term wellness.
Specific Services
What is the difference between Craniosacral Therapy and Vagus Nerve Stimulation?
The key difference is what they influence. Craniosacral Therapy works with the subtle fluidic rhythm of your body, while Vagus Nerve Stimulation targets the vagus nerve to calm your nervous system and foster a sense of relaxation.
How does Craniosacral Therapy help with TMJ and migraines?
My gentle, hands-on therapies address the underlying tensions in your head, neck, and jaw that are often the root cause of both TMJ pain and migraines. By working with the surrounding fascia, cranial bones, and the fluid that cushions your brain and spinal cord, I can release muscle tightness and ease pressure. This helps to restore balance to your craniosacral system, calm the nervous system, and improve overall alignment. Ultimately, my approach helps you experience fewer headaches and less jaw discomfort.
What is the difference between Functional Nutrition and a standard diet plan?
My approach to Functional Nutrition is designed to get to the root cause of your symptoms. I look at your unique biochemistry, lifestyle, and health history to identify specific food triggers, nutrient deficiencies, and imbalances. To do this, I use a variety of tools, including specialized testing (blood, microbiome, and genetic), to get a clear picture of what’s happening inside your body. From there, I create a customized plan to correct these issues and help your body heal from the inside out.
Is Functional Nutrition and Testing right for me?
Tired of guessing and want to understand what your body needs to heal? Functional Nutrition and Testing may be right for you if you’re experiencing chronic health issues, especially those related to digestion, energy levels, or inflammation, and haven’t found a solution with conventional methods.
How does the lymphatic drainage help with post-surgical recovery?
The lymphatic system is your body’s natural way of clearing waste, toxins, and excess fluid. After a surgery, this system can become overwhelmed, leading to swelling, inflammation, and slower healing. My gentle, hands-on lymphatic drainage helps with post-surgical recovery by clearing stagnant fluid and reducing swelling. This allows you to have a shorter, smoother, more comfortable recovery.
